MONOFIN FREEDIVING
Some of the best freedivers are marine mammals such as dolphins and whales. By taking the SSI Monofin Freediving Specialty course, you will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to increase your efficiency underwater using the monofin. You will receive the SSI Monofin Freediving Specialty certification after completing this course.
CONSTANT WEIGHT NO FINS (CNF)
Diving without fins is often considered the purest form of freediving. This course will provide you with the training and knowledge necessary for freediving without fins, both in confined water environments and in open water. After completing this course, you will receive your SSI Constant Weight No Fin Specialty certification.
WRECK FREEDIVING
Many of the most beautiful sea diving sites have artificial reefs or wrecks that have sunk over time. This course provides the skills and information needed to dive safely above and around these sunken treasures. You will receive the SSI Wreck Freediving certification after completing this course.
FREE IMMERSION (FIM)
Free immersion requires less energy and effort and can be performed with your head up. This allows you to use less energy and makes equalization easier for beginner freedivers. This course will provide you with the skills and information needed to perform free immersion dives in Freediving, during which you will pull yourself using the rope instead of using fins. After completing this course, you will receive your SSI Free Immersion Specialty certification.
DYNAMIC NO FINS (DNF)
No fins diving is often considered the purest form of freediving. This course will provide you with the training and knowledge necessary for freediving without fins, both in confined water and open water environments. After completing this course, you will receive your SSI Dynamic No Fin Specialty certification.
MARINE ECOLOGY / UNDERWATER NATURALIST
This course will allow you to gain a general understanding of complex marine ecology, that is, the study of how organisms interact with each other and with the environment, how energy flows pass between various communities, and the connection between different ocean ecosystems. At the end of the course, you will receive the SSI Marine Ecology certification.
REACT RIGHT
React Right is the SSI emergency training course and includes the following essential topics: Primary Assessment, First Aid & BLS, Primary Stabilization Techniques, and two optional topics: Administration of Oxygen in Underwater Emergencies and Fundamentals of Defibrillator Use. Students who complete this course obtain the SSI React Right Specialty certification.
